Rotary Club of Cagayan de Oro Premier Inducts Two New Members, Elevates to Large Club Status

September 3, 2024 – The Rotary Club of Cagayan de Oro Premier celebrated a significant milestone at its regular weekly meeting, inducting two new members and bringing the club's total membership to 55. This achievement officially classifies the club as a "large club," a testament to its growing influence and commitment to service.

The new members, Jefferson Obsioma and Krestony Atay, were warmly welcomed into the Rotary family. Jefferson Obsioma has shown strong potential and dedication during his time as a prospective member, while Krestony Atay brings a unique connection to the club as the husband of the current President, Nielgem Beja. Their induction was a highlight of the evening, symbolizing the continued growth and strength of the Rotary Club of Cagayan de Oro Premier.

The evening's festivities were organized by Team Royal Blue under the creative theme "Christmas in September." Members were encouraged to dress in either red or green and to bring a small gift for a White Elephant Gift Exchange. In a humorous twist, only one member, Jenalyn Morales, arrived in red, while the rest of the attendees donned green, adding a festive yet unified touch to the occasion. The White Elephant Gift Exchange brought joy and laughter to the evening as members playfully swapped and "stole" gifts, fostering a sense of camaraderie.

The meeting was conducted in a hybrid format, allowing members who could not attend in person to join via Zoom. This format ensured that everyone could participate in the celebrations, regardless of location.

In addition to the induction, the club also welcomed a special guest, Ms. Stephanie Mendoza, a prospective member who joined the meeting to experience the vibrant community of the Rotary Club of Cagayan de Oro Premier. Her presence added to the excitement of the evening, and she received a warm welcome from all members.

As the club now stands as a large club with 55 members, it is poised to take on even more significant projects and initiatives in the spirit of Rotary's motto, "Service Above Self." The evening's events, filled with festive cheer and meaningful connections, exemplified the club's commitment to growth, service, and fellowship.#
